The Board of Directors ##Serve on the governing board of the synagogue as an executive officer such as the President, Executive and Administrative Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, or as a chair of a Board committee. Lenny Marsh, President.

Membership Committee ##To develop strategies and programs to increase membership and integrate new members into synagogue life.

Fundraising Committee ##Develops annual fundraising calendar of events, oversees fundraising events, establishes fundraising policies and procedures, and develops new fundraising programs and activities. Meets monthly.

Finance Committee ##Prepares and monitors the budget. Recommends policies and procedures to the board for all financial matters. Skills needed: banking, finance, business, management, or CPA. Meets monthly. Contact Marty Dubin, chair.

Annual Spring Retreat Committee ##Glenn Sherman, chair. Plans retreat activities, marketing, registration and coordination with retreat facility.

Adult Education ##Develops programming of interest to adult members. Develops a schedule of speakers, works within a budget, identifies speakers and makes arrangements for the program. Russell Rayman, chair.

Building and Grounds ##Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and improvements, annual spring and fall cleaning, painting, landscaping. Steve Schwartz, chair.

Give 10 Committee ##coordinates volunteers, tracks

Kitchen Committee ##shopping, food preparation, and organization, Mashgiach (Kosher supervisor)

Kol Reyim ##contributors and lay-out. Ruben Gechter, editor, Dannie Halle, layout.

Library Committee ##catalog, reshelve, and organize. Lillian Hatch, chair.

Music ##be a member of the choir, folk group, or other song leader for services or school.

Office Support Committee ##Provides general office assistance including copying, preparing mailings, answering phones, monitoring entrance, word processing, data entry.

Oneg Duty ##Friday night - arrive 1/2 hour before services to set out food platters, juice, and Kiddush cups. Usher. Put away unused food. Assigned to every family on a rotating basis. Check the monthly Kol Reyim for schedule.

Personnel Committee ##Ensures the procedures of the Human Resource Manual are followed and the efficient functioning of administrative operations. Linda Gould, chair.

Preschool Committee ##Develops education policies and serves as an advisory group on activities, budget, and curriculum. Jenn Topscher, Chair.

Publicity Committee ##Bring information about Adat Reyim into the community, including publicizing events and activities. Work with Membership Committee on outreach. -- Melissa Bodner, chair.

Religious Practices Committee ##Working with the Rabbi, plans and supervises all matters pertaining to the conduct of religious services and rituals and to purchase and keep all items needed to conduct the religious services. Bruce Kaplan and Andrea Cate, chairs. Meets monthly.

Religious School Committee ##Develops education policies and serves as an advisory group on activities, budget, and curriculum. Amy Brener, chair. Meets monthly.

Security Committee ##Develops written policy and procedures, assist staff relationships with law enforcement, fire departments, and security vendors. Seeks out grants to enhance building security.

Shabbat and Festival Helper ##Saturday and Festival mornings. Set out food platters, prepare Kiddush cups, usher, store unused food.

Shabbat Preparations ##Prepare Oneg/Kiddush platters, straighten tallit and prayer books, water plants in sanctuary, illuminate yahrizeit lights, fold trifold bulletins, make sure Ner Tamid is lit. Friday afternoons.

Social Action Committee ##Works with membership committee to plan, organize, and supervise social and cultural programs for the congregation, to imbue in the membership an attachment to, and participation in social activities. Events include Wine & Cheese Shabbats, Dinners. Muriel Marcus chair.

Youth Activities Committee ##plans and promotes youth activities such as Junior Youth Group and BBYO to our teenagers.

Website ##develop and maintain website and advise on technology issues.
