Tikkun Olam
Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, is a fundamental concept in Judaism. Our students are involved in many Tikkun Olam projects throughout the year.
We received a $3,000 Initiative in Congregational Education (ICE) Grant from The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. This grant provides us with the opportunity to institute a Tikkun Olam segment in our Religious School curriculum.
We are also participating in a series of Northern Virginia Community Cluster Grant programs with other Religious Schools in the area. These events include:
- Mitzvah Mania (4th Grade)
- Lev El Lev (5th Grade)
- Tzedakah Program (6th Grade)
- Immigrant In Each of US (6th Grade)
- Cherish The Difference (7th Grade)
